The Student Assistance Program, at Peninsula High School, is a service offered to help reduce the impact of alcohol, tobacco or other drug use on academic, social and emotional development. Services are provided by Puget Sound Education Service District. Services offered range from individual student contacts and support groups to consultations with school staff, classroom lessons and school-wide prevention activities.
Some of the services offered through the Student Assistance Program are:
• Screening for high risk behaviors
• Parent conference
• Consultation for parents and staff
• Referrals to community services
• Case management with school teams
• Classroom presentations/education
• Student skill-building support groups
