                         Temple of Heaven

The Chinese exchange program will be headed off to China on Saturday, March 29th. We will be spending several days in Beijing to share touring time with the students from Gig Harbor High School and then catch a flight to Jinan China where we will be staying until April 13th. The students participating in this activity are Riley and Keegan Hall, Aaron Miller, Alan Wheat, Alex Jensen, Amy and Lindsey Mills, Gabriella Fiano, Maureen Kirkpatrick, Kylie Gemmell, Ian Barry, Ian Ostericher, Michaela Litchfield and Sarah Baum. The staff members accompanying the students to China are Curtiss Hall and Doraine Mosich. The PHS Exchange Program participants will be meeting Heidi Steele, the Chinese teacher for both PHS and GHHS once landing in Beijing. Upon arriving in Jinan the exchange participants will be sharing time with the students and staff from Jinan No. 1 High School. The activities will include classroom visits, home visits, and touring Jinan, known as the City of Springs. Our students are prepared to share the American way of life through a variety of presentations they have created. The following presentations will be available for the Jinan students and staff: Life in Gig Harbor, Outdoor activities, student journalism, life in a military family, Native American culture, mountain sports, soccer, football, Sea Scouts, Northwest art and the Saxophone.
