Both basketball teams had two wins last week. The girls’ basketball team is dominating the Olympic League with their talent, team work and tenacity, and will play at Port Townsend 1/25. The boys’ basketball team is on a winning streak, and showing a surge in confidence, team work and intensity. They will take on Port Townsend on Friday, 1/25 to maintain their place as first in their division. Two more wins and they will be first in League. Our boys swim team are the Olympic League Champs! Coach Brown said this is one of the hardest working teams that he has seen, and it is paying off. Our bowlers continue to improve their averages and represent PHS with pride. The district bowling tournament will be at Bolero Lanes on Saturday, 1/26. The wrestlers are improving their performances, showing their skill and strength, while giving it their all. Senior, Aaron Johnson took first place in their last tournament. The Knowledge Bowl has three wins in a row, against the Federal Way Public Academy, Clover Park Public Academy and Lakes HS. Our Talking Hawks, (Speech and Debate team) compete on week-ends and win many awards.
