PURDY - The crisp bite in the air, the dew in the morning grass, the shorter days and cooler nights can only mean one thing – it is football season once again! For many in the greater Gig Harbor/Key Peninsula area football season is particularly special because it means it is that time once again for Fish Bowl. This annual standing room only event has always delivered exciting high school football action and determines bragging rights for the entire upcoming school year.
The returning Fish Bowl Champions of 2006, the Peninsula Seahawks, are hoping to repeat last year’s upset victory over the Gig Harbor Tides this September, 7th at Roy Anderson Field. Peninsula Seahawks Head Coach Ross Filkins is confident once again this year and stated “this is a talented team with a great work ethic and a positive attitude. The sky is the limit!” Get there early if you want a seat and enjoy some good food and great football.
