SCHOLARSHIP: Gig Harbor Commercial Fishermen's Civic Club Scholarship Award
AMOUNT: Two (2) $1250 scholarships

CRITERIA:
- Have plans to attend a four-year university, a community college, or a vocational school beginning within 12 months of graduation from high school.

- Apply for this scholarship in writing. An essay of approximately 300 words answering the following questions:
- What role the maritime industry plays in the world today?
- Reflections on how Gig Harbor was shaped by the fishing industry?

AMOUNT: One $1500 scholarship

CRITERIA:
- Have plans to attend a four-year university, a community college, or a vocational school beginning within 12 months of graduation from high school.
- Have a grade point average of 2.0 or better.
- Be of good character and be one who demonstrates good citizenship.

- Apply for this scholarship in writing. A typed, double-spaced essay of approximately 300 words should address one of the following topics:
